• These pads are longer than the standard pads for menstruation, however heavy bleeders can use these pads.
• They are also good for night time.

• There are 2 sizes of incontinence pads, the large pad which is the same as the maternity pad and
  used for slight incontinence.
• The butternut pad is used for heavier incontinence; however, it is not a nappy and will not take a full
  urination.

• There are 2 panty styles, bikini and full.
• These are available with or without studs.

Cloth Nappies save the environment by being re-useable. The impact on landfill sites is lessened. The estimated 7 000 disposable nappies used per child in a two-year period can amount to as much as I tonne of landfill, or 325kg of plastic.

Washing the nappy pads is simple and because they are quick drying you will use less electricity, water and washing powder.

If you are caught out without enough nappy pads, simply do a quick rinse and a good squeeze on the pad. Place the microfiber side against your baby. You will be amazed at how quickly the product will dry.

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTION BEFORE PROCEEDING:

1. It is advisable to prewash the nappy pads as they become more absorbent with each wash.
2. Most washing powders, sold on the South African market can be used. Best of all they can be washed in a washing machine on a low temperature, no more the 40 degrees.
3. Once a nappy pad is soiled, rinse lightly and keep in a small dry, sealed container. There is no need to soak soiled pads in a nappy solution. When ready to wash simply do a normal rinse and then add washing detergents. The pads can be washed alongside other household items like towelling and sheeting.
4. Dry overnight on a drying rack or a short time out on a line. Do not leave all day in harsh sunlight as this could cause the pad to be stiff or tough…. not comfortable for a baby.
5. It is not necessary to use bum creams. Be aware that creams can cause a build up on the fibres and will resist the fabrics absorbency. If this does happen, give the pads a very hot wash in the washing machine to remove all creams.
6. Do not tumble dry the covers, this could cause the laminate to start lifting off the fabric.
7. It is not necessary to use softeners or fabric bleaching agents.
8. Remove stains with Sunlight green soap.
9. If a nappy rash does occur you may find you are using too much washing powder.
10. When opening snap fasteners place fingers close to gently open fastener, they can pull out if removed roughly.
